CJ continues to show growth every time he steps on the field. Each week, he looks more comfortable in the secondary and more confident in his ability to make plays. His reactions are getting quicker, and he is doing a better job recognizing what offenses are trying to do before the play fully develops. You can see the progress in his overall game, from his positioning to the way he finishes plays. CJ currently holds an offer from Sac State.

CJ has been making plays from the safety spot since the start of the season, showing up in the run game while also making his mark in coverage. This past weekend against Waco Midway, CJ came through when his team needed him most, coming up with the game-winning interception to help secure the 39-34 victory. He finished the game with 12 tackles, a PBU and the late INT, putting together another big showing for a player who continues to find ways to impact the game from the back end.

CJ has started to turn his flashed into real production and his impact. Finishing with 93 total tackles, 3 INT and 8 tackles for loss. He production will only get better this year as he makes it to camp to polish up all his techniques. He consistently shows up around the football, taking proper angles and finishing plays in space when called upon.

In coverage, CJ continues to show encouraging instincts. His 3 interceptions highlight his ability to read quarterbacks and capitalize when opportunities present themselves. He does a solid job staying patient in zone and reacting quickly when the ball is thrown his way, showing growth in his anticipation skills. Even though CJ don’t have any offers yet , its definitely coming soon.

He was smooth through transitional drills, keeping his base underneath him and maintaining balance when asked to redirect. His timing stood out when reacting to cues, and he showed the ability to stay composed while moving at full speed. CJ competed with confidence, stayed engaged from drill to drill, and showed consistency that scouts value in an evaluation setting. His overall showing reflected a player who understands how to prepare and perform when the spotlight is on.

Rogers had one of the strongest defensive performances at the event. Technically sound and fluid in his backpedal, Rogers had multiple pass breakups during 1-on-1s. His clean footwork and awareness in coverage make him a DB to watch in Central Texas.
