About Christopher

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a fast player who loves making big plays on both offense and defense. As a wide receiver, I use my speed to get open and catch passes, and as a defensive back, I trust my instincts to read the play and stop the other team. I like to play smart, react quickly, and always give my best to help my team win.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I always try to stay positive and give my best no matter what. I like to work hard, listen to my coaches, and support my teammates. Even when things get tough, I don’t give up, because I want to keep improving and help my team succeed

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m focused on school and football, but I also enjoy helping out in class and working with my teammates and friends. I’ve made the honor roll, and while I haven’t received any big non-sport awards yet, I always try to do my best in school and be someone others can count on.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Playing football since I was young has taught me teamwork, discipline, and responsibility. As a wide receiver and defensive back, I’ve learned to trust my teammates and lead by encouraging others, staying positive, and always giving my best effort on and off the field.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is balancing schoolwork with football. Practices and games take up a lot of time, so I’ve had to learn how to stay organized and manage my schedule to keep up with both. At first it was tough, but it taught me discipline and responsibility, and it feels rewarding to see that I can succeed in the classroom as well as on the field.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would love to attend a Division I college where I can continue playing football at a high level while also getting a strong education. I’m looking for a school that will challenge me both on the field and in the classroom, and help me grow as a student-athlete.

Christopher Santiago has great size at the wide receiver position coming out of the 2030 class in New York. He has the height and hands to really make big plays on the outside. He has earned this spot at the “RIZE” in New Jersey, he is a name I really like, and think will do really well come time of this major event which is loaded with exciting talent!

I caught very little of Christopher Santiago Christopher Santiago Christopher Santiago 6'1" | 165 lbs | WR NY , and for a fairer evaluation I wish I got to see him more. In the limited look I got of Santiago, I thought that he moves slow in-and-out of his rounded cuts. Capping this off, he dropped the pass on the rep I happen to observe him on.

Chris Santiago became one of the coaches’ favorite receivers as the day went on, continuing to improve throughout the event and especially during one on one reps against defensive backs. While straight line speed may not be his biggest strength, he more than made up for it with polished route running, strong hands, and excellent catch radius thanks to his long arms. Santiago consistently attacked the football away from his body and showed the physical traits that could allow him to develop into a potential tight end prospect down the line. He capped off the day with an impressive catch across the middle in traffic, finishing the event on a strong note.
