Phillips II is a technician at wide receiver with elite body control and silky-smooth routes. He consistently stacked DBs off the line and showed quick acceleration and lateral agility. His performance in the fastest WR competition proved he has top-tier speed. He may not be the biggest target, but his footwork, hands, and play speed will make him a name to watch out of the Austin area.

-Austin, the greater Round Rock region specifically and essentially all of Central Texas is a very fertile recruiting area with a lot of big time football players. Phillips may be on the fast track to be next.
-It’s difficult to put into words what separates him from other kids, but he just moves different. A combination of speed, violence and toughness make him extremely gratifying to watch play the game of football.
-Spoke to a coach earlier this week who said he gets the same vibes and feelings watching Phillips run the ball, that he did/does about Bryan High School freshman, Javelan Wade. Wade was selected to the 2026 Prep Redzone Next National Watchlist last year before high school…Phillips looks like he could be on the same path.
