Hinojosa is a safety measuring in at 5’10 170-pounds. Last season, he had 90 total tackles (55 solo, 35 assisted), 10 TFL, 1 QB pressure, 3 PD, 2 FF, and 1 FR returned for a touchdown. He has good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, good change of direction, and jumping. He ranges from the deep safety to the box. Good read and reaction time. Consistently watching the quarterback’s eyes and putting himself in position to make a play. Good hip fluidity and back pedal. Hinojosa has very good tackling and excels in run support. In coverage, he uses his speed to stay stride for stride with receivers. He’ll also line up at the LOS an extra blitzer. Explosive blitz take off speed with good block shedding. He collapses the pocket and attacks the backfield. Exciting versatile defensive playmaker!

Very good tackling and is hard hitter. He’ll crowd the line of scrimmage and blitz. Very good blitz take off speed paired with good block shedding. Hinojosa had a great game in round 1 against Loveland. The FS measures in at 5’9 160-pounds. He had 10 total tackles, 1 TFL, and 1 fumble recovery for a touchdown. He has good athletic ability due to very good speed, good acceleration, change of direction, and jumping. Hinojosa has very good range from his zone responsibility to sidelines and line of scrimmage. He has good read and reaction time. Very good tackling and run support. He uses his good strength to hit the running back and knock them off their balance. He’s a productive special teamer too. Bringing his grit and fire to that 3rd phase of football. I’m excited to see how he plays going forward.
Hinojosa was a player that was able to turn some heads this summer at DB and can get it done at receiver as well. At DB he is smooth in his technique, showing good footwork and being able to open up his hips to run with receivers. He can get hands on and disrupt receivers on their route and stay over top. At receiver he has good hands and can come down with difficult catches. He is a good route runner and can create separation.
Hinojosa is a freshman who had a good performance. He measures in at 5’9 152 pounds. His combine stats are as follows: 4.93 40-yard dash, 4.81 shuttle, 8’0 broad jump, 7.64 L-drill. Hinojosa showed a good back peddle during the drills. Able to keep up with the WR and give him problems. If he got beat during one play, he’d get back and compete the next. Good footwork.
