He displays good fluidity, contact balance, and burst each rep to either break tackles, evade early penetration or attack the running lane quickly. His ability to evade defenders in space is impressive due to his agility and balance. Additionally, Ficklin is able to get upfield quickly post-catch, becoming a multi-threat out of the backfield. Chris Ficklin Chris Ficklin 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Bentonville | 2026 State AR , one of the premier running backs in the state of Arkansas, will be in attendance. Ficklin demonstrates good pre- and post-snap vision, allowing him to read first-level defenders and quickly locate running lanes. He shows patience in following his blockers and allowing the running lanes to develop. He displays good burst and acceleration when attacking the hole and getting upfield through the second level. Ficklin can dominate both inside and outside zone runs, as well as gap runs. His good change of direction, lateral agility, and body control enable him to create to cutback lanes. He has the ability to make defenders miss in space, due to his fluidity and contact balance, which allow him to break through tackles as well.

Ficklin is the 27th rated overall player and 5th overall at his position in the state of Arkansas (via Prep Redzone) for the class of 2026. Ficklin displays good explosion through the tackles, finding the correct hole with vision and making his way through the second level. Demonstrates good fluidity as he’s able to change direction quickly when locating a backside opening. Solid in pass protection with a strong anchor, giving his quarterback time to throw.
