Tipton athlete Chris Addy Chris Addy 6'4" | ATH Tipton | 2027 State OK has flown under the radar for the last several years but he started to blow up this spring. We watched Addy in person in the 2024 state championship game and it was hard to miss the impressive-looking athlete. Addy has flown under the radar for a few reasons. He does play at Tipton, which is an 8-man program. But he also isn’t on social media and that’s a decent part of the battle with getting your name out there nowadays. It doesn’t matter where Addy has lined up on the football field, he has routinely been one of the more impressive athletes out there. He really impressed one of our northern writers when he camped in the Dakotas this summer. He would definitely check the box of an athletic freak from every perspective. 

One of the freakier, rawer, and yet, must-talk-about names and talents from the South Dakota State Jackrabbit prospect camp #2 came out of a small town of 800 in Oklahoma. Addy doesn’t have any social media or even a cell phone, so if you’re a college coach I’d recommend hunting down his head coach Travis White’s phone number at Tipton. I promise you, the work for the digits is worth it, as Addy, who measured in at 6’3+, 204 lbs. with a 79″ wing and 9 3/4 hand, kicked off his camp performance by popping off a 4.40 40, 4.65 shuttle, 9’4 broad. His explosive get-off, natural yet uncontained bend, and ability to threaten and beat OTs to either shoulder earned him some impressive 1v1s during pass rushing drills at the Jacks’ camp against a good and experienced group of Big School OTs from a variety of Midwest states competing in Brookings. Speed, speed, speed, not to mention explosiveness in this pass rusher’s game, and although he was certainly raw, and flashed inconsistencies and some out-of-controllness during 1v1s, we live in a day and age of tools and traits, and this small town hidden gem is staring at you in the face and yearning to be developed, not to mention given a chance.
