Onyeagoro had 107 tackles, 35 for a loss, 20 sacks and two forced fumbles this season.
He signed with SMU on the early signing day and was granted his release this week. According to 247Sports, Onyeagoro committed to North Carolina sight unseen and is now on campus.

Onyeagoro had 95 tackles, 30 for a loss with 21 sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a blocked punt last season.
I like him as an outside backer at the college level who can rush the passer and drop into coverage. He hasn’t played football very long, but is a tremendous athlete with good pass rushing instincts.
He had 18 other offers and also took a visit to Northwestern. Onyeagoro is one of four players from California in SMU’s recruiting class.

He is fast and does a good job using his strength for power moves once the linemen engages with him.

He has good speed off the edge and has the strength to drive guys back with power moves. He’s a really good athlete that could be one of the best defensive players in the City Section next season.
