Wells’ quickness is what allows him to win as a tackle despite his size. He fires off the ball in the running game and gets into the chest of defenders before they can get off the ball. He may ultimately end up on the defensive side of the ball, but his presence at tackle is helping the Bandys offense.

Wells hasn’t quite figured out where his best position is, as he’s powerful like an offensive lineman, but has the size and quickness of an edge rusher. He played most of his sophomore year as a right tackle and flashed great run-blocking ability. With a bit more weight, he’s a guy whose pad level and leverage make him an ideal candidate for the offensive line.
