The 6’4 frame is going to catch the attention of college programs, but 2027 WR/K Chase Hartung is showing there’s more to his game than just his length. His expanded offensive role for Oak Glen this season has given him a chance to show his potential as a pass catcher in addition to the specialist ability he developed through his soccer background. Hartung has a naturally large catch radius and has proven he can take advantage of it, consistently coming down with 50/50 balls and winning against smaller defensive backs. He has reliable hands and makes his size a real advantage at receiver. As he continues to fill out his frame, a move to tight end could also become an option in the future. The versatility Hartung offers, along with his size and skill set, makes him an intriguing prospect at multiple positions for colleges to check out.

RETURNING STANDOUT

2027 WR/K Chase Hartung brings an intriguing blend of size and athleticism to Oak Glen’s roster. Hartung has the 6’4 frame to potentially grow into a future tight end body at the next level, while his multi-sport background gives him plenty of athletic upside. He handled the kicking duties as a junior and converted 90% of his PAT attempts, though he’s still developing as a specialist. Hartung could take on a larger role at receiver and defensively as a senior, giving the Golden Bears another versatile athlete to work with. His size, athleticism, and upside makes him a prospect worth taking a close look at this fall for Oak Glen.
