Bensing is coming off a strong junior year in which he caught 36 passes for 464 yards and four touchdowns. He is a big body receiver that lines up mainly on the outside. Chase is a smooth route runner with the ability to create separation with the breaks in his routes. He also has the speed to pose as a dangerous deep threat and the athleticism to go up and catch passes at their highest point. Chase also has great ability after the catch, using his speed and elusiveness to turn short passes into big gains. Bensing currently holds an offer from Benedictine College and I expect more to come his way as he has received a nice amount of college interest.

Chase’s quickness shows in his change of direction at the top of routes. Good strength and contested catch ability shows catching balls over the middle. Chase shows next level rebounding ability high pointing the ball in the end zone; With strong hands, good size, and the athleticism to adjust outside of his frame Chase will be a mismatch problem for defensive coordinators at the next level.

Bensing, a 6-3, 190-pound wide receiver, looks like he has the potential to beef up into a nice pass-catching tight end over the next few years after spending the offseason running past defensive backs at camps and combines.

Last season, as a sophomore, he caught 24 passes for 260 yards and seven touchdowns. He averaged 10.8 yards per catch.
