Strengths

- Bad physicality
Carter is a mixed bag. His athleticism is good, especially his straight-line speed. Though, his routes are sloppy. He tries double moves, but they’re very slow, no head/shoulder fakes, and doesn’t fool even small-school DBs. Little route variety otherwise.
He’s also a poor blocker. Gets in front of his man but consistently fails to lock on his target or give any sort of drive.

Carter is someone who I really want to watch in person. He’s put up some great tape, and he’s currently a mid-tier D3 prospect in my eyes. With an absolutely excellent offseason, he could get up to that D2 level. Anyways, here’s what I’ve liked about Carter’s game thus far.
- A couple of great-looking comeback routes
- Flashes good RAC
- Can take top off of defense with streak/post routes
- A couple of great coverage plays as a DB
- There’s a chance I’m severely undervaluing him
- Looking forward to hopefully getting testing numbers and watching in person sometime this offseason
