Ward is very active from his free safety position and is a rangy player that covers a ton of ground quickly and is a solid tackler in the open field the brings a good punch of the point of attack. He is a well balanced defender that takes the proper angles in space with a quick trigger and has fluid hips in transition and has good man coverage abilities downfield. He does flash some natural ball skills and return abilities while having a nose for the football and causing turnovers. He has another candidate that should see plenty of next level interest at the D3+ level.
