He showed a good ability to move the entire showcase. He has a good 1st step as he gets off the ball quickly. He then has a good motor as he moves well. Then at the one-on-one competition, he did a good job. He showed off a good spin move by setting the offensive lineman up and then spinning the other way. Price played well all day at the showcase.

Question: How will he do in one-on-one competitions?

His ability to push offensive linemen backwards when he fires off the ball is impressive. He is hard to move off his spot. He also has a motor that never stops. The question I wasnt answered is: How will he do in one-on-one competitions? I am excited to see him compete against other defensive linemen.

Our highest ranked player on Craig County, Carter continued to prove himself on the DL, and this year became a key starter on the OL as well, earning 1st Team All Region on both sides of the ball. A physical player, who greatly improved his use of hands on his tape this fall. He finished the season with 72 TKLs, 15 TFLs, 4 Sacks, and 1 FF. He is also returning to our January 26 Showcase, and will have the interest of the college coaches there.

Our highest ranked player from Craig County, Carter is a defensive line prospect who had Division 1 upside. He has attended both of our Prep Redzone Player Showcases and has shown demonstrated improvement in technique. He will be the anchor to the Rocket’s defensive and offensive line this fall, and a major piece to their success.

No stranger to us at Prep Redzone Virginia, Carter is a defensive lineman who is under the radar but has shown great development through his sophomore campaign. Solid upfield burst at the snap with good strength at the point of attack. When he can create initial leverage, he will win the rep where he has an effective rip move to disengage the block. Good in run and pass defense, he has the strength to hold his gap and the quickness to put pressure on the QB. He recently had a good showing at our PRZ Combine. He is one you will want to keep an eye on out of Craig County High School.

Happy to see Carter make some noise again, the Craig County 2027 prospect deserves it. He looks faster off the ball than when I last saw him in the winter and is poised to get attention from colleges after his junior season.

Carter showcased his strength, which I liked a lot about him, on Sunday. He showed everything I talked about in my preview. Carter has a good skill set and could be a riser in the 2027 rankings.

Price is a stone wall of a defensive lineman. He does well at using his hands to get favorable positions and is strong enough to pose a threat through power and finesse. I’m intrigued to see how he does athletically in our drills.

Another top 100th ranked kid Craig County’s Carter Price Carter Price 6'1" | 255 lbs | DL/OL Craig County | 2027 State VA is fun to watch on tape. I will be curious to see how he holds during the individual drills as he was a menace for the Rockets. He made good strides as sophomore among their defensive line he is a big tough specimen at 6’2 and 245 lbs. Price should shine on Sunday, anticipating he being a top performer in the defensive line group.
