Carter Dowell Carter Dowell Carter Dowell 6'1" | 205 lbs | RB Troybuchanan | 2026 State MO was very impressive out of the backfield on Friday, carrying the ball 30 times for 176 yards and two touchdowns. He proved to be a strong runner, showing the ability to lower his shoulder and keep his legs churning through contact to break tackles with ease. Dowell also showed the elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. Carter is committed to Lindenwood where I can see him being a productive player at the next level.

No, he’s NOT a power back. Carter Dowell Carter Dowell Carter Dowell 6'1" | 205 lbs | RB Troybuchanan | 2026 State MO is a tall, pro-style back who thrives when getting downhill and is most dangerous when his shoulders are square to the line of scrimmage. He runs physically and accelerates out of traffic with exceptional contact balance. His vision, paired with his agility, keeps the YAC piling up. I love his long stride and the way he finishes runs. Carter can protect the quarterback and has reliable hands as well. This kid’s frame and potential are scary high. Carter is probably the most physically prepared for the next level but is looking to capitalize on his senior year to cement himself in the conversation as the best back in the area.

Carter is 4th in touchdowns with 28. He’s 5th in yards, running for 1629 on an undefeated season so far. Coming off a bye week in the first round of playoffs, he rushed 274 yards and had 5 touchdowns vs Howell Central week 2. Coming up he will be challenged by a Rock Bridge defense Friday.
