Kiefer brings back quite a bit of experienced defenders heading into the 2025 football season. But one new addition is going to bring the pop from the linebacker position. Senior Carson Cooper Carson Cooper Carson Cooper 6'2" | 190 lbs | LB Kiefer | 2026 OK moved over from Beggs and is looking to be that instant impact player for the Trojans this season. Last year, Cooper would lead the Demons in tackles and now he’s taking that experience and production and fitting right in with the Trojan defense. We liked the personnel that Kiefer had returning at linebacker before and now the addition of Cooper to that group makes them even better. He’s looking to have another impactful season this fall, this time with Kiefer.

Part of the problem for Beggs in 2023 was the injury bug bit them hard and they had to deal with players coming in and out of the lineup. Linebacker Carson Cooper Carson Cooper Carson Cooper 6'2" | 190 lbs | LB Kiefer | 2026 OK is a junior to watch this season after he only played five games for the Demons last season. Despite only playing in five games, Cooper would total 60 tackles and was an absolute machine on the defensive side of the ball. And we know that the Beggs coaches are excited about his potential heading into the new season. If they get him back on the defensive side of the ball and he’s healthy all season, he could end up being one of the top linebackers in Class 2A-2 this season. Only time will tell.
