Carlos Montoya was a nightmare for quarterbacks all night, showing off his instincts as a blitzer. He has an uncanny ability to time his rush, exploding off the line before linemen even have a chance to react. What makes him even more dangerous is his strength — despite being a linebacker, he holds his own against bigger blockers and fights through contact to get into the backfield. Montoya checks into our most recent 2025 rankings as a top fifteen linebacker in his class, and should fit nicely inside at the next level as a true run stuffer and plug in the middle. He is another high tackle kid that is always around the ball and has a knack for making big plays with this past weekend being no different. He went for 20+ tackles while seemingly everywhere on the field. As he continues to grow, develop and pack on more muscle to his frame, he should have colleges showing interest and coming his way through his final year of his prep career.
