About Carl

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

high-motor, versatile lineman who brings intensity to every snap. I’m 6’0” and weighing around 240 lbs, I use my strength, leverage, and football IQ to win battles in the trenches. Defensively, I fire off the line with a quick first step, shed blocks effectively, and show solid pursuit of the ball. I’m physical at the point of attack, disciplined in gap control, and aggressive.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I work hard at everything I do. I want to be coached so I constantly can improve my game. Im laid back of the field and get along with everyone in every environment. People naturally gravitate towards me. I’m a natural leader. During practice and games, I set the tone for my teammates.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the biggest obstacles I’ve had to overcome is being underestimated because of my size. As a defensive lineman, I’m not the tallest guy on the field, but I’ve learned to use my strength, leverage, and motor to outwork and outplay my opponents. I’ve also dealt with the challenge of balancing tough academic coursework with athletics. I’m in AP and honors classes, and maintaining a high GPA.
