, a wide receiver/defensive back at Trinity Christian Academy. On top of excellent size and speed, I really like Hardin’s solid wingspan and versatile edge as he can elevate off the ground to haul in the challenging touchdown pass under heavy pressure. Hardin also stands out with his ability to blast past the defense to get wide open for the pass. This rising star out of the Jackson area should not be slept on.
A really impressive multi-sport athlete who may be even better on the Baseball diamond, than the football field. He’s a tough kid that plays the Wide Receiver/Safety position(s) with the tough guy swagger, mixed with the ball skills necessary to be great at the position. This past season he was selected to the West Tennessee Middle School All-Star Game and had a nice showing. Again, a multi-sport athlete, he has already been clocked in the 80s as a Pitcher.
The first two plays of his 2024 film personifies what Hardin brings to the table as a prospect. Defensively, Hardin is a physical Safety that can hit with the force of a Linebacker, yet has the coverage skills of a Cornerback. He’s a three-down Safety who can come down in the box to help, in addition to aiding in coverage. On the other side of the ball as a Wide Receiver, he has very reliable hands and has a knack for creating big plays after making the grab.
Areas for improvement: Straight line speed
There’s no doubt Hardin’s a talented prospect. He’s a three-sport athlete (football/baseball/basketball) and his Hudl lists him at 5-foot-11 and 160-pounds with a 4.7 in the forty. Sometimes with film it’s hard to judge speed, so take this with a grain of salt, but his speed doesn’t immediately stand out like other assets of his game. I would love to see verified size/speed numbers on him.
