Frankfort’s Caden Whitacre Caden Whitacre 6'5" | 225 lbs | OL Frankfort | 2025 State WV is currently slated to be the top-ranked defensive prospect that will be in attendance at the combine. This comes with a caveat as he’s also a very quality offensive lineman for the Falcons and could be considered for either spot depending on how much he can keep adding weight. We consider Whitacre a DL prospect for now due to his 6’5 225 size and combination of athleticism to pair with it who you can see playing defensive end or tackle in college with added bulk. Our question for Whitacre that we want to be answered at the combine is whether he can perform at a high level at DL with the limited film available at that position or is he better suited for OL after he adds considerable weight? Whitacre will likely perform well at both spots, but DL is where he’s most intriguing and where he could develop into a very good college player.

There must be something in the water out in Ridgeley, WV with long and athletic linemen as the second Frankfort Falcon makes his debut in the 2025 rankings as the #9 DL and Top 65 prospect in Caden Whitacre Caden Whitacre 6'5" | 225 lbs | OL Frankfort | 2025 State WV . He has a small 4-game sample size of highlights available right now but the 6’5 225 big man flashed some serious potential and upside as a defensive line prospect. Whitacre could also end up being in a similar situation as teammate Lane Lease Lane Lease 6'6" | 245 lbs | OL Frankfort | 2025 State WV as lanky offensive linemen who bulk up and become a high-level offensive tackles in the future, but Whitacre will debut as a DL in the rankings for now. I’m very excited to see him at our upcoming Combine camp in early May to get eyes on him in person to see how he fairs at both positions and get a better gauge of his talent and potential. To speak to his level of athleticism, Whitacre plays guard in their Wing-T system at his height and weight and proves how athletic and nimble he is while also having the strength to be able to pull and move heavier defenders. The bulk of his limited highlights are at OL, but with his length and athleticism, I think Whitacre best fits as a DL prospect for now while his weight catches up to his height.
