Coming in hot and extra extra large, Minnesota’s OL2 in the Class of 2029 represents the Class AAA ranks and tradition-rich Southern Minnesota co-op Plainview-Elgin-Millville. The Bulldogs produced an absolute mammoth of a Division 1 OT commit in the 2026 cycle in 6’7, 300+ lber. Carson Hynes, and PRZMN was ecstatic to learn that Hynes has a younger brother. Plainview-Elgin-Millville | 2029 StateMN also happened to be the Bulldogs anchor of a RT in 2025 on their varsity OL. Hynes also took significant reps at OC, which, to me, speaks to both his bend and his smarts, especially for a freshman and first-year starter, and he looks flexible and able to drop this hips well for his height and age. Not sure if he camped anywhere on the 2026 summer camp circuit, but the film is strong, literally, as Hynes displays a strong initial strike stuns DL, after which he displays the strength to backpedal DL after said initial pop, as well as really work them off the ball and out of a the gap. Hynes also flashes a solid, balanced, wide base, and I found myself really impressed by the balance, especially for his height and age. He gets up and under DEs and DTs off the snap and shows a bit of nastiness as a finisher after he works a DL onto the ground, which I like! This 2029 OL looks like a sophomore or junior on tape. Hard not to see a high ceiling here.
