Palmer is a still raw and developing prospect but has the ideal size, frame, and length for the next level and could find his home as a defensive tackle as well due to his growth potential. He plays with heavy hands and is a true edge setter that can quickly make plays behind the line with closing speed and open field tackling abilities. Although still working on his strike and initial lockout, he is a high motor kid that covers ground quickly behind the line and shows solid change of direction and lateral movement, especially for her size. Palmer is another prospect that should see interest/offers begin to roll in through his senior year and is poised for a big season.
Palmer is a high upside prospect that is still raw and developing, but has the ideal size, length and frame for the defensive end position in college. He is quick off the ball, shoots his hands quickly inside with a good lockout, and does a nice job setting the edge and countering back inside when needed. Still a raw pass rusher, he replies on initial punch, bend and good backside pursuit to create havoc in the backfield and offers tons of untapped potential at the next level. He is a very intriguing prospect and it will be interesting to see who offers first whether it is this Spring or even Fall.
Palmer is one of the better edge rushers across the region, and is off to a terrific start to his Junior campaign. Palmer has a long frame and is a rangy edge prospect with an explosive first step, violent hands at the POA and shows quick block recognition while very stout against the run. After three games, he leads the state in sacks with 5, and has been disruptive off the edge for Filer. Look for Palmer to continue to have success in his Junior season, and should be receiving some post season accolades come December and draw college interest.
Palmer leads the state in sacks with 5 and has shown up in a big way as he makes the opposing quarterback uncomfortable on every snap. He has good speed off the edge but can really do damage with a bull rush. He has strong pass rush ability and really plays with great effort.
