Out of all of the prospects that were previously on the waiting list, Wegdam made the biggest jump out of all of them. He committed to Virginia Tech on June 18th. Wegdam is being recruited to play offensive tackle. Wegdam is a dominant blocker who consistently creates movement at the point of attack and finishes with authority. The multiple pancakes on his highlights show that he has a nasty streak and a desire to finish. It’s worth noting that he also plays defensive line for his team and understands defensive tendencies better. Wegdam brings endurance and toughness to both sides of the ball for his team.
