Expert Analysis
Josh White | Prep Redzone Scout
Few players were more productive statewide than Grissom —81 catches, 928 yards, 12 touchdowns, and impact as a returner and occasional backfield weapon. A true multi-use offensive threat, he wins with smooth stride-speed, clean acceleration, and a north-and-south route running profile that punishes cushion. In space, his vision shines—he slips first contact often and regularly turns routine touches into chain-moving plays.
His positional versatility is one of his greatest assets. Slot, perimeter, motion-back, return game—Griswold fits every role and creates mismatches across the field. A program looking for instant production and scheme-flexibility should consider him a priority.

Bryson Grissom Bryson Grissom 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR/DB Huntsville | 2026 State AL is an electric WR out of Huntsville who’s found a ton of success out wide this season.
“Grissom has explosive speed he uses to stretch the field almost every snap. He’s a terrific deep threat who flies off the line of scrimmage and burns almost any DB in front of him, constantly finding ways to break past multiple defenders for huge plays.
I’m a huge fan of Grissom’s route running. He’s terrific at putting DBs on their heels, gaining tons of separation both inside and outside of the numbers. I’m also impressed with Grissom’s improvisation. He’s excellent at working with his QB while he’s on the run, helping extend and create huge plays out of nothing.”
Grissom is currently committed to North Alabama, where I’m sure he’ll be an instant contributor.
Make sure you watch some of his clips below- you’ll come away impressed. He’s a heck of a prospect.

Grissom continues to thrive as one of Alabama’s most versatile offensive weapons. Functioning as a WR/HB hybrid, he routinely lines up in the backfield, slot, and wide alignments — creating constant mismatch problems for linebackers and slower safeties.
His hands are soft and reliable — he looks the ball in naturally and transitions quickly upfield, turning short passes into first downs. Grissom shows excellent spatial awareness in the screen game, processing pursuit angles while making defenders miss in confined spaces. There’s a controlled burst to his runs, and his balance through contact allows him to stay upright longer than expected. Simply put, Grissett’s versatility gives him legitimate value as a third-down option at the next level.
