How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Intellectual and down hill - people say I remind them of Luke Kuechly

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I love football. I love the process of working out, game film, practice....I love it all

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Active in Church Youth group when not playing ball

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

How to bring young players along. Give back to the community is very important and something we do with our team and my family. How to talk in front of the cameras and do it about We and not Me

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was injured going into the last 2 games last year. I was very down with all the hard work I put in. I had to really get my mind right to work out and completely change my speed. It has been a grind, and I havent played football in a long since week 8 last year. I cannot wait to show what I can do with a better body and a new mindset.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want a program that I can play early, get a great education and the coaching staff are true mentors

Furrey has recently transferred to Avon from West Orange, Florida where he is coming off of a solid season. He has a fantastic build, especially for a guy controlling the middle. He’s thick and knows when to transfer his weight. His ability to track the ball through traffic makes him effective because he has no issue fighting through contact to make a tackle. He knows how to shed blocks, stay low, and wrap up. There are times he could stay with his keys a bit longer, but that’s an experience thing. He’s a smart player, no doubt, but like many things it just takes time. I don’t think we’ve seen the best of Furrey yet and feel like he’s a guy who could develop into a starter at the next level once he gets up to speed. He has the toolset and athletic ability, it’ll just be up to him and how he develops.
