About Brycen

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play aggressively with a hard hitting mentality aiming to make big plays or smaller ones depending on what the situation may be.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I believe in having a good work ethic and outworking everyone around me as well as ensuring I do what’s best for the team in order to win.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a National Honors Society member and have been involved with the STLP, Speech, and Academic teams prior to this year and have excelled in some of those winning first in science multiple years in a row in both district and region competition and winning the broadcasting category in speech in regionals.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Over the course of the past year I have became more of a leader to the team and have ensured I keep a good attitude no matter the situation and help the younger players with whatever it may be. I also participate in different types of community service whether it is picking up trash on roadsides or helping clean up flood debris and even delivering supplies to those in need during the flood.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, since my freshman year I and our team endured the largest flood to ever hit Knott County as well as the loss of a player “Mick” Crawford, the next year (2023) we suffered the lost of a former player peyton, and another player that was playing at the time Gage Caudill. This year we unfortunately lost one of our assistant coaches Adam Slone. Our team has definitely endured many things

What type of college are you looking for?

Any college, no matter the level, with a good community, and one that can push me and use me to the best of mine and their ability

Brycen Everage Brycen Everage Brycen Everage 5'10" | 205 lbs | LB/RB Knott County Central | 2026 KY has jumped onto my radar with a strong start to his senior season. Everage lines up at middle linebacker where he is dominant against the run. He reads the play quickly then explodes downhill out of his stance to meet the ball carrier in the gap before they can get going. Once he gets to the ball carrier, he runs his feet through contact to finish the tackle and not allow any extra yards to be gained. Through the first six weeks, Everage leads his team with 92 tackles and 14 tackles for loss. He has also record half a sack this season and has played a role on offense, running the ball 38 times for 238 yards and three touchdowns. Brycen currently holds an offer from Bethel (OK) and I expect more to come his way during his senior year.
