Listed on his MNFootballHub profile as a 6’2, 244 lb. behemoth of a Class 9Man two-way dynamo, Bryce Nielsen Bryce Nielsen 6'2" | 240 lbs | ATH Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda | 2027 State MN is one of the biggest, baddest, yet most mysterious power backs on this star-studded roster of XL tailbacks presented to you by the one and only PRZMN. Representing the SW corner of Minnesota and the Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda co-op, Bryce Nielsen Bryce Nielsen 6'2" | 240 lbs | ATH Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda | 2027 State MN had yet another tremendous season on the gridiron with the Coyotes, totaling 166 carries for 983 yards and 9 TDs + 14 carries for 198 yards and 2 TDs + 42 tackles, 5 TFLs, 1 FF, and 1 PBU in his third season as a varsity contributor and second as a full-time starter. Sadly, I can’t find a lick of publicly available football tape, only brief basketball highlights, so I can’t give you a breakdown of the pickup truck of a RB’s skillset, but maybe, hopefully, one day soon. Bryce, if you’re reading this, please put some tape up!

I smell a Small School Sleeper! Representing Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda, a 9Man program in SW Minnesota near the Iowa & South Dakota border, Bryce Nielsen could also be categorized as a Biggest Mystery/Highest Upside type prospect, as he has all of the makings of a potential D1 kid but is missing some key parts of his athletic resume. Nielsen was listed at 6’2, 225 on his MNFootballHub profile last fall, but is listed at 6’3 in his Hudl, and speaking of his Hudl, Nielsen doesn’t have a lick of football film updated and only limited basketball highlights. He was just named All-Conference HM on the hardcourt in 2025, though, but he also doesn’t have a Twitter. However, Nielsen stuffed his sophomore stat sheet, totaling 107 rushes for 793 yards and 7 TDs, 4 catches for 37 yards, 59 tackles, 12 TFLs, 1.5 sacks, and a FF, showing a dynamic and potentially dominant physical skillset on both sides of the ball. That’s about where the extent of my knowledge on Nielsen ends, but I’m really hoping the 225 lber. is hitting the camp trail this summer. Otherwise, PRzMN is heading to Jackson County! I wanna see this kid ASAP.

In contention for the top mystery/upside 2027 at this point in time, Nielsen is another cycle’s version of a small school, Outstate jumbo athlete with a size, multi-sport background, and production combination that I simply can’t stop thinking about. It also doesn’t help that Nielsen only has basketball tape available, leading my imagination to conjure images of outright dominance and electric dynamic ability for the SW MN product out of the Heron Lake area. The basketball tape shows a fluid PF with good body control, strength as a rebounder on the boards, basketball IQ, and a smooth ability to drive to the basket, and he looks like the biggest dude on his team, leading me to want to see some football tape even more. Nielsen had a ridiculously dynamic sophomore season, totaling 107 rushes for 793 yards and 7 TDs, 4 catches for 37 yards, 59 tackles, 12 TFLs, 1.5 sacks, a FF, 100% FG percentage, and 11/20 on PATs, 23 punts for 754 yards, and 4 kick returns for 43 yards, all at a reported 6’2-6’3, 225 lbs., and with no social media, Nielsen becomes even more mysterious. Hope I get to see this dude live soon.
