A Top 30 overall and a Top 5 RB debut in the state is a serious first impression, but Delano has some straight-up studs coming up through their ranks and specifically in their 2028 class. Beyer, a tall, fast, and powerful sophomore tailback is an electric RB who totaled 165 rushes for 1,047 yards and 8 TDs in 2025, 105 yards per game as a sophomore, and the first rep of his sophomore highlights really showcases his speed well.
You can see him shift gears as he first blows past the LOS before then accelerating through all three levels of the defense and leaving the DBs stuck in slow motion trying to track him down. Beyer has more than a few clips like that, including against Orono, the Class 4A champs this past season, and he’s a patient runner who follows his blocks and allows gaps and holes to develop in a a defense, especially as he stretches things out to the sideline. Beyer’s strong lower body helps him play with impressive contact balance, bouncing would-be tacklers off his lower body while maintaining forward and upright momentum, and he easily weaves by defenders in the open field. He’s elusive in the open field and has a good bag of tools to make defenders miss, and played with an air of athletic dominance you don’t see too often from sophomores at the RB position in Minnesota. Hope to see this kid this summer!
