One of the more prolific passers in the class last fall, Brooks Weber Brooks Weber 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB/DB Midprairie | 2027 IA is the top returner in the class in touchdown passes thrown, and he’s No. 3 amongst returning gunslingers in yards thrown from last fall. In total, the 2027 prospect completed 136-of-217 passes (62.7%) for 1,973 yards, 30 touchdowns and nine picks.
With a strong arm and the ability to make anticipatory throws, Weber can stand in the pocket, manuever to avoid pressure and send passes downfield even while taking hits. An athletic QB that has excellent placement on deep shots, Weber is a gunslinger that any team in 2A would love to have — he just so happens to play for Mid-Prairie. Coming up just shy of Cedar Falls in 2025 after a loss to runner up Van-Meter in the quarterfinals, Weber at the Golden Hawks may be on a revenge tour this fall. If he takes another step forward in 2026, Mid-Prairie could be one of the top teams to be reckoned with in 2A.

Brooks Weber Brooks Weber 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB/DB Midprairie | 2027 IA took over the starting job for the Golden Hawks’ offense after his older brother Brody graduated, and he brought their offense to new heights in 2025. Weber completed over 62% of his passes for 1973 yards, 30 TDs, and 9 INTs. An excellent Pro-Style QB, Weber did a great job with throws attacking all three levels of the defense, hitting passes down the sidelines and seams with great precision. Showing great accuracy and making some nice throws through tight windows, Weber’s accuracy also flashed outside of the pocket, and while he didn’t run the ball much, Weber does a good job at extending the play when the pocket collapses. Weber should remain to be vastly productive leading Mid-Prairie’s offense as he enters his senior season.

After his older brother Brody graduated last season, Brooks Weber Brooks Weber 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB/DB Midprairie | 2027 IA inherited the starting QB job at Mid-Prairie, where he immediately thrived as a first-year starter. Weber threw for 1973 yards, 30 TDs, and 9 INTs as he guided the team to a 9-2 record, their highest win total since 2013. I was really impressed with several of Weber’s deep throws, as there were several clips from his tape of him taking low shots as he thew the ball and still nailing a deep strike in stride to his receivers. Weber works best outside of the pocket, doing a great job at extending the play to find his targets downfield while also showing excellent accuracy over the middle. With Weber under Center, Mid-Prairie could be a dark horse for contend for the 2A conference entering the 2026 season.

, Weber has been difficult to deal with through the air. The top remaining QB in passer rating (194.4), Weber has completed 116-of-176 passes (65.9%) for 1,735 yards and just six INTs to his 28 scores. Efficient as a passer, he’ll look to defeat Van-Meter through the air en route to a hopeful Dome appearance.

Weber has settled in nicely as a first-year starting quarterback after replacing his older brother in the role. Brady Weber graduated in the spring. Brooks had completed 60 percent of his passes for 693 yards (14.1 YPC) and nine touchdowns against one interception through the first three games of 2025. Weber recently posted clips of some exploits on his Hudl page. While it’s only a sampling, the junior flashes potential and looks comfortable playing the position. Weber can ding defenses with his arm or legs. He does a nice job of keeping plays alive off of schedule, going through his progressions and improvising when needed.
