Mellor is nimble and quick off the ball with a first step that immediately puts him in position. He’s good on his feet and does a great job creating movement in the run game. He fits well on the interior and plays with balance and control. He’s not the flashiest guy, but he’s consistent and has the traits you want in a reliable inside lineman. He gets the job done and doesn’t need much help doing it.

Mellor is a steady presence at Center who plays with intelligence and consistency. He’s quick off the ball and does a good job getting into position. He rarely makes mistakes, doesn’t rack up penalties, and keeps the offense moving. He’s the kind of guy you can trust to get the job done every snap which is exactly why he was given the All-State nod this season. Guys like Mellor keep football going around and I hope he gets the opportunity he deserves.
