Expert Analysis
Rob Howe | Prep Redzone Scout
MMCRU fields a team filled with long-limbed athletes capable of helping out in multiple areas and could project at several positions on the next level. Mulder fits that description, showing a lot of promise during the Class A semifinals against West Sioux at the UNI-Dome. The uncommitted senior rushed for 39 yards and caught three passes for 40 more, including a 22-yard scoring grab. Mulder had three solo stops among his 4.0 total tackles, adding a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry to further illustrated his broad set of skills. He certainly would be an asset on special teams as well.

to lead the way. Mulder returns as the team’s leading rusher from last season, recording 139 carries, 969 rushing yards, 197 receiving yards, and 14 touchdowns. Mulder also recorded 16 tackles, 3.5 TFLs, 2.5 sacks, and a 40-yard fumble return for a touchdown. Right off the bat, Brayson stands out physically with his strong 6’4″, 210-pound frame that looks like he could continue adding mass. Brayson’s mix of athleticism, size, and versatility intrigues me because I can see him playing several positions at the next level, including H-back, TE, WR, outside/inside linebacker, or defensive end. Brayson is a natural playmaker with the ball in his hands, using his vision to find openings in the defense and exploding through them. He is very tough and can power through contact to keep himself upright to fight for more yardage. Excellent nose for the endzone. Defensively, Brayson plays with a great motor and showed potential of becoming a terror coming off the edge. Mulder holds offers from Peru State and Midland. High upside prospect!

Here’s a big, versatile athlete who is primed to turn some heads once he gets in front of more coaches. Mulder had a statement season as a sophomore, carrying the ball 144 times for a team-leading 833 yards and scoring nine rushing touchdowns. Brayson flashes great vision and patience when carrying the ball and can find open lanes seamlessly. At 6’4″ and 205 pounds, Brayson is a handful to try and tackle, especially when he can get a head of steam going. If you decide to stay in his way, Brayson will either run past you, through you, or even over you. Great burst and acceleration once he sees the open field. Even with Brayson’s huge rushing season, I believe he projects best on defense, where he can use his length and athleticism to terrorize opposing quarterbacks. Mulder is quick to get off the ball and does a great job making impactful initial contact to stun his opponents before ripping through to get into the backfield. Great pursuit. Brayson ended his sophomore season with 27.5 tackles, 6 TFLs, 3.5 sacks, and an interception. Get this guy in front of coaches!
