About Braylin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a hard-nosed, downhill runner, he consistently powers through defenses with aggression and determination. I have a unique combination of size and speed which allows me to break tackles and accelerate quickly through gaps, making me a formidable running back who can wear down defenders while also being a big-play threat.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I do not seek attention or chase Instagram likes. My hard work and dedication happen behind the scenes so he can perform under the lights. I've been consistent in training, the classroom, and in the weight room, always embracing an underdog mentality. Humble and quiet, I prefer spending time at home with his family rather than being in the spotlight.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Student of the Month 2023-2024 school year.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed a number of key skills and qualities that go beyond the field. Leadership has come naturally to me, especially as I’ve grown into a role where I can guide and motivate my teammates, whether in practice or during games. Teamwork is essential in football, and I’ve learned how to communicate effectively and play my part in helping the team succeed.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As a sophomore, one of the biggest challenges I faced was having to wait for my opportunity to get playing time. It wasn’t easy watching from the sidelines, especially when I felt ready to contribute. But instead of getting discouraged, I focused on what I could control—working hard in practice, staying consistent in the weight room, and being patient.

What type of college are you looking for?

Ideally, I'm looking for a Power 5 school with a strong academic reputation where I can continue to grow both on the field and in the classroom.

Drake has the ideal size, frame, and attributes to be a next level back and is a no-brainer to enter into our 2027 rankings in the next update off the watch list. He rushed for almost 1,000 yards as a Sophomore for one of the top teams in the state, and is a explosive and violent runner with the ball in his hands. He looks for contact in the hole, shows good sudden twitch and movement abilities while able to make defenders miss in tight windows and flashes a true open field burst in the clear to break away from tacklers and is tough to bring down in open space. Drake displays foot speed and contact balance through the first two levels, and is a very balanced runner with the tools for the next level. Look for Drake to build upon his Sophomore season and be one of the top rushers across Southern California in 2025.
