While Ames has experienced some ups and downs to date, the Little Cyclones can hang their hat on a solid nucleus of young players. At the head of the table is Chambers, who’s contributing significantly on both sides of the ball. The sophomore has piled up 30.0 tackles, the second most on the team. Twenty four of those tops are of the solo variety and there also are 3.0 tackles for loss. He also paces the team in rushing yards and touchdowns, and is tied for the lead in two-point conversions. There are a few clips of Chambers playing running back on his Hudl page. There’s size and speed that could continue developing at that spot. It’s also a skill set that works well on defense. A projectable frame keeps doors open to multiple possibilities for development. We’re looking forward to seeing more film.
