Next up is the always improving OT out of Kettle Moraine. Brayden has made huge strides over the past year or two in his body and the nuanced parts of the OT position. The 6’8″ 320 lbs athlete has a massive 84″ wingspan that makes him even more of a nightmare to get around for pass rushers. Brayden definitely has the talent to stay out at OT at the next level. He plays with excellent knee bend and ankle mobility that allows him to play low and change direction efficiently while mirroring pass rushers. Brayden has devastating hand strength that can punch an opponent to the ground or easily steer them anywhere he wants them. In the run game the big man shows impressive range to get across him man’s face to cut them off and get between the defender and the ball. Dive into the tape if you’re a team looking to add to the OT position.

The upcoming film for the massive 6’8″ 290+ lbs OL out of Kettle Moraine is going to be must see. Brayden has long had the size, and able to create a push correlated to such size. However, with such a big frame it takes time to grow into it for a lot of prospects. With another offseason under his belt, I look forward to seeing how much Thompson’s ovearll body control and flexibility has developed. You can never be good enough in those areas, and with the rare size that Brayden has having elite flexibility and body control is going to make him exponentially more talented and coveted by the next level. Flexibility equals the ability to win the leverage battle. Giving someone his size the leverage battle is unfair. Give that same athlete the balance to be able to stay in position to maintain that leverage without losing his man and you have a special prospect. I’ll be on the look out for that Week One film. College coaches should be as well.
