“At QB, Salster is one of the most dominant rushing threats in the state. I genuinely feel like I’m watching HS Derrick Henry in some of his highlights. He’s 6’5 210, has incredible speed, ridiculous contact balance, a mean stiff arm, and impressive elusiveness/change of direction to create TD plays almost every carry.

At LB, Salster is a threat every snap. He’s instinctual, incredibly quick, and can diagnose and disrupt any play, any down. I’m really impressed with his tackling, coverage skills, and how he makes plays in pursuit. Salster is truly a fascinating prospect. I can’t wait to watch him this next season; it’ll be a blast.”

Salster picked up three offers in the past week, adding Baylor, Auburn, and Memphis to his list!

I seriously had a blast watching Salster’s tape a few weeks back. He’s an incredible player with a big senior season ahead of him. Make sure you watch some of his film below:

It looks like Salster has settled into a spot at TE, but I will still leave the door open for a home at any spot, and keep the ATH label on him. Regardless of where he ends up, he answered a lot of questions for me and a lot of people this offseason. Here is a snippet of a write up this offseason:

“After seeing him in person, this kid looks and moves better than I originally expected. He is tall, but cut and light on his feet. He has no problem occupying space, and has the size to box out and offer a large catch radius for QBs. Big fan of this kid and his upside.”

He has been well covered over the last few weeks for us, but his offseason has been busy, so we’re just following along. As is the case with most rare traits guys, I have kept up with Salster over his HS career, but settling into a TE projection has been massive for his recruitment. He can box out and roll in the flat, but he is a good enough athlete to occupy space and wiggle in the open field quickly. With his upside and continued growth, I will call my shot and predict Salster to eventually develop into a contributor at the college level.

Salster has seen his recruitment take off, listing offers from Arkansas State, Troy, Georgia Southern, and several others.
