There’s some projection needed here, as Norris comes from a run-heavy high school offense, but the 6’3″, 170-pounder has a rocket for an arm and flashed the ability to hit throws to every level of the field. He’s gotten some late traction on the recruiting trail and we think he’s a guy who could learn quickly at the college level.

Despite missing some time early in the year with an injury, Norris developed quickly as a junior. He plays in a run-heavy East Duplin offense, but displayed excellent accuracy on the move. He’s big enough and fast enough to break contain and he’s usually looking down the field. I’m impressed with his mechanics and think he’s a guy who could develop into a really solid college starter.

At a school known for its running game more than anything, Norris is an interesting prospect we want to keep our eyes on as he continues to develop. In his highlights, Norris takes advantage of defenses playing to slow the run and completes a good number of deep passes to receivers getting behind the secondary for big plays and touchdowns. I wouldn’t classify Branson as a dual-threat, but if he has space he is fast enough to run and take advantage of defenses sleeping on him. We are anxious to see how he continues to develop for his junior season.
