will have the luxury of focusing on his play this year, as he committed to Illinois State in mid-July, putting his recruiting to an end. The Redbirds are getting an all-around tight end who has showcased that he can not only make plays as a pass catcher but also dominate as a blocker. A recruit like Goken at the tight end position is a rare find for coaches because of how balanced his game is. There’s no doubt Goken will dominate from the Y position as a senior in 2024.

At 6’4″ and 230 lbs, Goken passes the eye test, showcasing the ideal size for the tight end position. Brady made his mark on varsity as a junior by being a dominant run blocker. The ’25 has a the frame you look for in a high end TE prospect at 6’4″ 230 lbs. Brady uses that size to his advantage. We see him do a great job of getting hands inside, using ankle and knee bend to get leverage under bigger DEs. The TE also does a great job of positioning his body so that he is between the defender and the running lane. From the snap, Brady does a great job of driving his feet once engaged and he has the leg drive to push his man off the line of scrimmage. Brady has gotten out to camps and recently earned an offer from Illinois State. Get eyes on this kid.

In a showcase with only a handful of tight ends, Brady Goken emerged as a standout at his position. Goken showcased smoothness while running his routes, utilizing his significant stature to secure contested catches effectively. His performance in 1-on-1 situations was particularly noteworthy, highlighting his versatility to line up as a wide receiver as well. One of Goken’s distinctive attributes is his long arms, providing him with an impressive catch radius. I will be keeping an eye on Goken this up coming season.

Goken was a pass catching threat at the sophomore level for Wheaton-Warrenville South. The 6’3, 220 lbs tight end averaged 17 yards per catch and tallied 5 touchdowns on the season. Goken was a security blanket for the Tigers offense, catching anything thrown in his general direction. He shows the ability to run smooth routes and understands how to improvise when the quarterback is flushed out of the pocket. Goken makes tough catches look easy. He can beat you from the line of scrimmage, in the slot, or when split out. Keep an eye out for Goken in his upcoming varsity season, as his stock is rising quickly.
