Background: Smith is a newer prospect who has caught the attention of the Prep Redzone NY scouts. He had an impressive showcase a few weeks ago in Warwick, and has the potential to be the top target for John Jay this season.

Measurables: Smith has a solid frame standing at 5’10” 180-Pounds. And as he grows should look to fill out and add weight. For now his frame is perfect for the WR position.

Evaluation: Smith has untapped potential and showcases the ability to play all over the field with LB, WR, and RB being the positions I can see him at. He has reps all over the field, but at WR, he showcases a high IQ, and the ability to understand and carve through defensive schemes. I like his get off the line, as he displays the ability to gain separation. Smith has good hands, and can make catches through contact showing good physicality which is important when facing strong DB’s. Smith is a young raw WR, to watch in the 2028 class moving forward, and I think he can easily have a breakout campaign this season.

He had a good combine portion, with an excellent top ten pro shuttle time with a 4.43.

Smith had an excellent day, and made his presence felt throughout the afternoon. Despite the tricky conditions, he showed excellent footwork, and consistently was moving across the field. I liked his ability to create separation across the field during 1v1 reps, and he showed some good plays against some top DB’s
