About Boaz

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Violent hands with great extension and separation using my long wing span and quick ball get off. I can squeeze and play dive and redirect to play the QB on zone read. I can also get sideline to sideline at edge and linebacker. I also have great hands and body control at TE.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a coach’s kid who has grown up in a field house and spent hours watching Football of all levels. I play every snap at defense and then turn around and play TE and wildcat QB. My motor is always on high and mentally always locked in. I love hanging with the younger grades and helping my school with special Olympics.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Special Olympics and Partners club. Class President. Student council.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a captain of my team, member of student council, and class president I’ve had to learn to communicate between students and athletes to administrators and coaches. This helped me voice encouragement, discuss ideas, and build relationships. Community Service built my enthusiasm for helping others in need, working towards an environment where people put others before themselves.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Being an athlete, I have had intense injuries to my body throughout practices and games. I have persevered through broken bone injuries, constantly working to rehabilitate to achieve recovery to perform with excellence. This took a lot of tenacity, dedication, and mental toughness to get back to playing shape at an elite level. It taught me to encourage my teammates and love the game more!

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for colleges that will develop me not only as a player but also as a man. I am looking for position coaches that have families and love having players over to their house and continue to develop leadership characteristics in my life. Family is extremely important to me. Also, I am looking for colleges that harp on educational excellence and rigor, to prepare me for the future.
