Howell Ready to Lead Spalding Into Next Chapter of Success
Howell will step in next season to replace one of the top quarterback prospects in the nation, with expectations of continued excellence for the Spalding program. He’s no stranger to the school’s winning tradition, back in 2022, he led the junior varsity team to an undefeated season, and many of those same teammates will be joining him on the varsity field this fall.
Last season, Howell appeared in 13 games, attempting 17 passes and completing 13 of them. He threw two touchdowns, including a 55-yard strike, showcasing his ability to deliver when called upon. On film, he displays a noticeable twitchiness, he’s quicker than fast, and does an excellent job of keeping plays alive with his feet.
After a year spent learning behind an elite prospect and gaining meaningful varsity reps, Howell appears ready to take the reins. Surrounded by a talented group of returning offensive weapons, don’t be surprised if Howell quickly makes his presence felt on the high school football scene.
