Blake is another underclassmen LB who showed well on the day and is a prospect on the rise. Measuring in with great size at 6’3″ and a yoked up 193lbs, Blake passes the eye ball test. Predominantly an edge rusher in 2025, he showed why he was successful in the role with a 7.04 L-Drill score.
During position drills and 1v1’s Blake showed he was not just an edge backer but can play in space and off ball or slide in as an ILB. In drill work Blake displayed rapid footwork, getting up & down with eyes up and sinked stable hips and then exploding through the finish. One of the main questions poised to Blake in the pre-showcase article was how can he hold up in 1v1s….and he answered that question with flying colors. Was in control showing fluid hips and controlled physicality in coverage. Blake showed a good eye for the ball, able to turn & find the ball on vertical routes or make strong breaks to undercut routes. He got his hands on multiple passes for PBUs. The only thing I would like to see him improve on his hands in coverage as he had a few passes where he put himself in perfect position for the INT and just couldn’t come up with it.
As a 2028 prospect, Blake is a prospect that is poised for a big junior season next fall. Colleges will want to see him camp this summer and get his early junior film as he is a prospect they need to keep their eyes on for the future.
