Burnett lined up at safety where he was a true ballhawk in the secondary. He reads routes then reacts accordingly, showing the ability to use his speed to cover ground quickly. When the ball is thrown in his direction, he has shown tremendous ball skills, leading the entire state with 10 interceptions in 14 games this season. He also recorded 43 tackles, two tackles for loss, and a sack as a senior. Burnett also served as Bell County’s starting quarterback, throwing for over 1,300 yards and 15 touchdowns while also rushing for over 400 yards and eight touchdowns. Blake hasn’t reported any offers but he definitely has the talent to play at the next level if given an opportunity.

When the ball is thrown in his direction, Blake has shown impressive ball skills, coming away with a team-high five interceptions in six games this season, returning one of them for a touchdown. He has also recorded 15 tackles so far. Burnett is also his team’s starting quarterback, throwing for 663 yards and six touchdowns while also rushing for 183 yards and five touchdowns so far this season. Blake doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is a player who definitely deserves some attention from college coaches.

He does a great job of sitting back in coverage and reading route combinations then breaking on the ball with perfect timing once it is in the air. Burnett has shown the ability to cover a ton of ground to get to the ball and then attack it at its highest point to make a play, coming away with a team-high six interceptions in 13 games last season. He also finished this past season with 44 tackles and two tackles for loss. Blake also had a strong year at quarterback, throwing for 1,204 yards and 11 touchdowns while also rushing for 517 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior. Burnett doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is a player who college coaches should have their eyes on this season.

Burnett doesn’t currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on over the next couple seasons.
