Currently our QB1 in this 2026 North Dakota, the Mustangs are led by senior gunslinger Berkley Frantz Berkley Frantz Berkley Frantz 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB South Border | 2026 State ND . He is one of the more mobile quarterbacks we have found in this class with use of his legs as we expect those to be a factor against the Loboes. Even with the legs being a factor, you can’t underestmiate the arm talent this young man has as he has one of the quicker releases in this class especially on intermediate routes that show off great precision to give his Mustangs receivers a leg up when getting downfield. No reported offers as of yet for our QB1.

He already is our QB1 in the North Dakota 2026 class, but Berkley Frantz Berkley Frantz Berkley Frantz 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB South Border | 2026 State ND showed off even more than I needed to see during their Week 0 win against Richland. His poise in the pocket was the best I saw around the Dakotas on Friday night and I can already tell he has taken a step forward in his senior season as far as his mechanics, smooth touch, and ball placement for South Border. The 6’1 195 pounder is one that I am still very surprised he doesn’t have his first offer yet.

Our new QB1 in the North Dakota 2026 class is South Border quarterback Berkley Frantz Berkley Frantz Berkley Frantz 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB South Border | 2026 State ND , who also might be the best touch thrower I have seen thus far within this class. You can tell very quickly how well in touch his football IQ looks to be as a quarterback that can throw persistently on all three levels of the field and certainly has great chemistry with his receiving core on their routes. The sound precision that Berkley shows off shows off chunk play after chunk play on tape and has good measurables already for the next-level at the quarterback position. Another prospect that I can see growth upcoming with his overall ranking as he shows off more junior tape. Twitter

One off the first quarterbacks that I got my eyes on at the Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine was Wishek (ND) Berkley Frantz Berkley Frantz Berkley Frantz 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB South Border | 2026 State ND . I thought he was one of the most poised quarterbacks within the group inside the pocket as he seemed to be quite efficient on every-level of the field. He also showed off solid mechanics as the timing of Berkley’s throws were from the reps I encountered were precise and seemed balance as far as his touch he gave on each throw I watched. I would also give Berkley our QB MVP in the testing category as I thought he was the most consistent QB from testing across the board.
