Benjamin Gilbert was ranked as one of the best Canadian OL prospects in the nation by our scouts. Now, he is moving down to Georgia to play at Rabun Gap, where he will be tested against solid competition. He comes in at 6’4 285 and is a good athlete. He is lighter on his feet and can drive defenders out of the play. He played like a bully in Canada, launching and ragdolling defenders all over the field. He might not be able to consistently do that in the states, but I believe he is a good enough mover and has enough power to play at a high level once he adjusts to the speed of the game. Gilbert should receive some D1 buzz.
