Expert Analysis
Carl Frederick | Prep Redzone Scout
Ben Arroyo broke out last season for Deep Run and he is poised to get Division 1 offers with Saint James Academy this fall. He is 6’3 and 270 lbs, with one offer already, Arroyo really impressed us all back in January at our Winter showcase. Playing for Coach Overton now, I would anticipate him lining up at defensive tackle and edge.

Arroyo’s stock has continued to grow this off-season from earning top performer at our Winter Showcase to obtaining FBS level offers. Maine came calling for the all star pass rusher yesterday and more offers will likely come before his senior season kicks off. As he announced last month, Arroyo will play his final season of high school ball for St James Academy.

put on a clinic at the showcase. He won the MVP for the defensive line. He is currently not ranked, which is surprising. He should be ranked. I think he should be a top 200 prospect. He is that talented a player. He was clearly the best defensive lineman at the entire showcase. His ability to beat offensive linemen with quickness was apparent all day. I came away super impressed with him, and he should be ranked.

was outstanding at the showcase. He earned an MVP selection for the defensive line group. He was the best defensive lineman at the showcase. He kept destroying offensive linemen during one-on-one drills. He is a good athlete who moves well. His ability to use his hands and athleticism to pass rush was impressive. He had a killer spin move where he set up offensive lineman one way and then spun the other way. Arroyo is a talented player.
@Ben_Arroyo01 was the MVP of the Defensive line. In the rep below you see him with a sick spin move to get around the offensive tackle. Arroyo is a talented defensive player. pic.twitter.com/g0LTqeDdDt
