The class of 2025 stud QB who transferred to ER/Gananda from Aquinas Institute had a very good debut for his new team. Newman completed 15 of 24 pass attempts for 219 yards and 4 touchdowns against Lyons/Sodus. Showed good poise and touch on passes when he needed to. With good escape ability all while keeping his eyes downfield and finding target after target.

Smooth and accurate were some of the best ways to describe Newman’s performance on Saturday. He ripped the ball quickly to his receivers and for the most part his timing was solid. He had one of the top reps out of any quarterback when he slinged one deep right into his receivers hands. He showed why he’ll be one of Rochester’s top quarterbacks this season.

The ball was coming out quick and his accuracy and ball placement were on display. Newman, being the only quarterback at the tournament calling his teams plays was the obvious choice here.
