A massive two sport 2028 athlete out of Danville (PA), standing 6’7, 240 pounds. Plays TE/DE on the football field while lining up at forward and center in basketball.
First identified by Prep Redzone, he started gaining serious recruiting traction after earning a Colorado State offer back in mid June. He now holds offers from UConn and Cincinnati. Previously ranked as an FCS level edge and tight end prospect on our junior board, he needs to see an immediate boost in our rankings. I may have undersold his potential.
I would definitely recommend trimming down the length of his highlight tapes on Hudl, although there is still plenty of production to be had. FBS college coaches are going to want to see his full game tape regardless, so this is admittedly me nitpicking. I decided to turn on his Central Columbia single game highlights for a quicker one game evaluation.
He aligns as a 4 3 defensive end, primarily shading the outside shoulder of either tackle. His get off is impressively bendy for someone standing at 6’7″, 240 pounds. His ability to stay low at that height, combined with the explosion he generates from his lower body, is likely a major reason he is being recruited so heavily. It is not often you see a prospect this big with this much flexibility to his game.
The amount of pressure he creates off the edge stands out immediately. Winning with speed alone at his size is impressive, regardless of the competition level. His powerful limbs also allow him to ward off hand strikes with relative ease. I would love to see him compete against some of the best offensive tackles in Pennsylvania to truly gauge whether we are looking at a top five or top 10 edge prospect in the state when zooming out.
Benjamin Koser is one of the more physically intriguing young prospects taking the field for Danville on Friday night. The 2028 edge defender stands an impressive 6’7″ and weighs 238 pounds, giving him exceptional length and size for a sophomore prospect. That frame provides Koser with the potential to become a difficult matchup for opposing offensive tackles as he continues developing his technique and strength. Facing a Shamokin offensive line with multiple returning starters will give Koser an early opportunity to test himself against experienced competition. PRZPA scouts should keep an eye on his ability to use his length, leverage and physicality to affect the pocket and disrupt Shamokin’s rushing attack.

is a good prospect who has great size (6’7″) and athleticism for that size. He played as an edge defender, and he did a good job of keeping contain. He also showed the ability to rush the passer at a high level. The one area he needs to improve is to get stronger. If he does that, he has a chance to be an excellent edge defender. Koser also played quarterback. I expect he will probably start next season at quarterback. If not at a quarterback, he could see the field as a wide receiver or tight end.
