About Beckam

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I have an aggressive style of play at running back. I am very quick to the hole but also always looking for a cut I can make to gain additional yards downhill. I am difficult to tackle, and once I am able to break to the outside I cannot be caught.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a passion for the game of football. I have had some success so far but really look forward to working hard and learning from coaches, camps, family and friends. I want to constantly work to be the best student athlete I can be.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

The organization I became involved in this past Spring was the USA Powerlifting organization. I competed for the state record for bench in my weight class and was successful at #145 in the 120lb weight class.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been team captain on each of my Tri-Town Renegades football teams since 3rd grade and have help encourage other plays to join and participate. I was also the team captain on the New England Beasts Indoor Tackle league, and helped lead that team to an undefeated season and conference championship.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced a number of challenges personally, but as it relates to football my biggest challenges has been learning to communicate and support my team. We have some individuals on my team who cannot remember the plays, or their responsibilities during certain situations. So I have learned to help them both in the game, but also set time aside to set up additional practices so we can execute.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a good general business school in a warmer climate that has a playbook focused on running back development. I have a goal of playing at either a Division I or Division II school.
