Current Ranking and Potential Bump: Former PRZ PA camp kid. Unranked currently, likely due to his transfer out of Pennsylvania to the Taft School in Connecticut. Was previously looked at as a Top 150 PA 2028, would have seen a ranking rise had he stayed in Pennsylvania. I am taking over ranking duties in New England, so Barima Archampong will still be evaluated by myself. I’m thankful that I got the chance to see him in a live setting again. Unstoppable during 1v1s, Archampong put forth an offer-ready performance, although I get why Villanova and other FCS programs might be wary of offering a 2028 right now. That being said, just too good of an overall DL/EDGE performance to ignore. I’d go as far as to say that Archampong solidified his presence as a Division One-caliber EDGE/TE prospect. Archampong will be ranked accordingly in New England.

As he continues to refine his technique and build on his athletic foundation, Archampong remains a strong prospect within the 2027 linebacker class.

Barima Archapong is a skilled athlete who competes at a high level. At the showcase, he did an excellent job and earned a 2nd team selection. He has superior athletic ability. This allows him to play well in space as an outside linebacker. He is currently not ranked in the 2027 class, but after this showcase, he deserves to be ranked. He is that talented.

Archampong displayed a strong change-of-direction ability throughout linebacker-specific drills. He moved efficiently without wasted steps, allowing him to transition smoothly in space. His closing speed and overall range stood out, as he consistently covered ground sideline to sideline. Archampong showed the ability to close space quickly and limit potential big plays with running backs in the open field. His active feet and balance were evident, as he consistently played on his toes and stayed ready to react. He demonstrated good body control when asked to redirect or mirror movement. His agility and functional strength translated well across multiple drills. Overall, Archampong’s athletic profile projects well for continued development as an outside linebacker at the next level.

He plays as a tight end, and he has the skills to develop into a good tight end. In his film, you see the ability to run routes and catch the ball well. He also does a solid job blocking on the edge.
