Bakary Jallow
Bakary Jallow
About Bakary
Expert Analysis

The film reveals a clear upward trajectory for the 2027 defensive back. What started as a raw, undersized playmaker has evolved into a faster, more physical, and instinctive defender who is rapidly closing the gap on higher-level competition. Jallow’s tape shows legitimate year-over-year growth that college coaches at every level should note. Jallow consistently closes angles faster than most high-school corners or safeties on the reel. He has the rare ability to flip his hips, plant, and explode without false steps. Bakary is far more willing to initiate contact.
Early film showed hesitation at the point of attack; recent clips display him stacking blockers, shedding efficiently, and delivering strikes that now move receivers off their routes. Dramatically improved reaction time and anticipation. He now reads quarterback eyes and route stems more decisively, turning what used to be late breaks into early jumps and potential turnovers. Enhanced diagnostic ability. Pre-snap alignment and post-snap key reads are much cleaner; he processes the entire field better and rarely gets caught guessing. His big weakness is tackling. Earlier misses or arm-tackles have been replaced by square, wrap-up form and consistent pursuit through contact. He needs to continue developing his tackling technique to elevate his game to the next level. I recommend getting with a good trainer for tackling and working through some basic techniques will go a long way with this player. Learning the different types of tackles and how to best perform them will add more fuel to Bakary’s arsenal. Many of his other skills have improved, but this still needs some work.
