On top of his skills in coverage, Niles is a reliable tackler who defends the run at a high level. Niles is advanced in how he arrives at the catch point. He does the work early—smooth backpedal, patient feet, and fluid hips allow him to stay square and balanced through the route stem. Once in phase, he understands his “right to the ball,” consistently playing through the receiver’s hands rather than panicking or face-guarding. His 16 PBUs reflect elite timing and eye discipline in zone, where he breaks downhill with purpose and forces quarterbacks into tight windows. Physical enough to support the run and finish tackles on the perimeter.
